31:24 - Rahul Singh and Rahul Sachdeva. Putting in the good work for a good amount of time now. Sambo and Srilakshmi are the other two you mentioned, who got down in House is Waack and went into the finals against Anushi and Oggy. They've also been putting in the work and bringing their experience to the battles for long now. A lot of people here in India that can smoke and win internationally and have done so already. It's going to be seen more in the upcoming years :) Good on you for recognizing the real.

Several points: - I think the music needs to be improved. You can still use fun, commercial music that is a little bit more enjoyable - a lot of the songs were irritating and not good for dancing. For example, I love the Backstreet Boys but the song isn't good for dancing because you end up dancing like you're in a boyband - it's very one dimensional and repetitive. Also, the same music plays every year - I know they have a library of lisenced music but it's becoming noticable. - I also agree that we have to enjoy Redbull for what it is. However, it's really annoying when new fans who discovered dancing yesterday are like "omg, D Soraki is the best dance EVER, why didn't he win???" It does ruin things a bit because it creates fandoms based on individual dancers rather than the dance itself. I hope it leads some casual fans down the pipeline of the underground scene but I think most will just watch the surface level stuff. - The MCs countdowns annoying beccause they weren't on beat, so it stops the dancer in the middle of a move. The DJ would follow the cue and just stop the music based on the countdown, not the counts of the music. MCs and DJs need to stop doing this because it ruins the impact of the round. - I'm glad that good dancers are getting noticed, such as Waackxxxy and MT Pop. I never expected that to happen - I expected randoms to always win because they did a back flip, so that's good news. - I think DYS used to be Redbull Beat It, which has been going on for ten years prior - so this format has been tested for a while. - One thing I'm worried about is people becoming nationalistic. Yeah we have the whole Europe against USA and France against everyone thing but mostly people like individual dancers for their skills. Most pople don't care that Paradox is from Netherlands or Evion is from the UK. However, I've seen a lot of nationalistic comments about Vietnam and India, which promotes separation and supporting people based on location. I get that Asians are proud that they are winning but Asians were always winning in the underground scene but now they're being highlighted in the mainstream. I saw this at SDF when Asians new to waacking (from a Korean TV show) were mad that their fave dancer lost and Black waackers were winning - they started making racial comments. That stuff is going to get annoying. - I hate the voting system. It doesn't seem accurate - I would rather see how it works than trust them that AI is doing its thing.

I think your point on music (1:00:14), though I agree is an issue, is not as simple as it may seem. For example, with your point about Abba not being an artist "battlers" wouldn't necessarily dance to is something I would disagree with when I know songs like Gimme Gimme and Voulez-Vous are pretty common songs used in Waacking competitions. Now that All Styles (especially Red Bull) is garnering the interest of other dance communities outside of Hip-Hop (ex. Voguing, Afro, Dancehall), it's hard to determine what songs are used by battlers and what aren't when the different battle scenes have their own playlist of music that is drastically different from one another. My personal issue with the music is that there were some rounds where the music, though probably not deliberately but, would clearly favor one dancer over the other. For example, in the round of T vs Ivy Mugler (though yes, I am admittedly biased since voguing is my battle style), the 2 songs that were played during that round, in my opinion, were more suited to T as his roots in hip-hop were very complimentary to the music while voguing, the dance style that emphasizes and exaggerates femininity, is harder to use for those tracks. (She still did an amazing job though and the ballroom/voguing community is super proud of her 🎉) Though I know it's hard for a DJ to have a wide-range knowledge of all the types of music that each dance style caters towards, in an ideal scenario, it would be nice where for the 2 rounds, you'd have music that caters to each dancer so that both competitors have a chance to show both their capabilities at a higher level as well as their ability to adapt their style into other genres as it is still an All Style competition

Glad you mentioned about D Soraki and T giving it to the other dancer in their battles. If AI is calculating it correctly, I don’t see it ever being a tie. I discovered D Soraki and the love of dance through Red Bull. I think the biggest complaint I hear from others is the music. I do think the songs are key to whether a dancer can shine. I think if the DJ is out to trip up the dancers it hurts the dancers performance and Red Bull as a whole. I would think you would want great songs for the dancers to really perform in order to get the crowd excited. I think they are shooting themselves in the foot to try to make it difficult for the dancers. The DJ should work with the dancers and not against them. It will be more exciting to watch.
