At the breakfast table Sammi and Akeem wear the same kind of clothes, but Akeem has a #1 and Semi wears a #4 signifying Akeem is first born and heir whiile Semmi is the 4th born... At the party for Akeem to get a bride he stand next to the prince at the throne while all the other servants and guest are forced to stand to the side... When the homeless people steal their clothes, Akeem tells Sammi to let them have THEIR princely robes. When they get a job neither Akeem nor Semmi knows how to use a mop. lol The Movie never actually tells us for sure who Semmi is, but maybe the sequel will finally tell us.

I rewatched after having not seen it in years, and you're right. It's very wholesome. The nudity and F-bombs are weirdly out of place. But, I understand. To get people who only knew Eddie Murphy from his raunchy stand up or Trading Places into the theatre, they probably felt they had to get an R rating. I'm pleasantly surprised that Coming 2 America is PG-13!
