Just wanted to clear up the rumour you guys brought up with carwashing and Bay, where Joe Starr probably refered to the rumour that Megan Fox had to do that for audition for Transformers. It is confirmed by Megan Fox on Instagram, that rumour is false. She also said she never experienced being treated badly by Michael. So, I was disappointed hearing you backing the false acclaims without knowing it is true. I have heard from several actors and crew members that Bay is actually a really good guy to work with. He demands a lot and there is no problem in that.

Sounds crazy but the thing that makes this so much better than Transformers are the nuances. You mentioned quite a few of them here but it's the little things that every character has going on that make them feel more real. I always liked the scene where Connery is suspicious of Goodspeed but during the briefing the SEAL commander says ''Goodspeed is our specialist, he'll neutralize the threat'' & Connery gives him an appraising look. It's not relevant to the plot but it lets us know that one character is trying to figure out the other whilst the audience is already in on the joke. It makes both characters more relatable without really doing anything.

Kiss of the Dragon might have the worst title drop. It's not even apparent why it's called that until right near the end, it isn't plot critical and doesn't build on anything from before, and it's obvious that they wanted to call it something cool-sounding.

33:23 If you look carefully at the staging of the "Airstrike Approved" scene it implies he is on speakerphone. Picking up the phone is just a dramatic button to end the scene. That he felt the weight of the answer to that question required it to be spoken directly into the phone. The aide has the phone in his hand, he presses a button on the base, and hangs up the phone. Then the president walks up next to the phone and begins to speak. In the next shot the camera moves up and away from the phone on the desk in the control center to imply his voice is coming out of it. They even add a little spin to the camera pullback like the speech is spiraling outward, filling the room. Then they do a reaction shot of Womach and two other people in the control center seemingly listening. Later in the speech Carla is fidgeting nervously with her ring and then looks up when the president says "We are at war with terror and fighting a war means *casualties* " as she begins to realize what is about to happen. The president also gestures with his head toward the phone at several points during his speech.

"Con Air" would be the most feasible immediately, but "The Rock" could have some amazing set pieces. "Face/Off" would be a great middle of the trilogy.

Not only did they not pay off the Beatles obsession, they didn't commit to the point of having Goodspeed play an Epiphone Casino, which not only would have made more sense for a Beatles devotee, but would have been cheaper than the Sheraton they gave him. Does anybody else feel like their background is too pristine? Like they found a 6 foot space behind them that is super clean and if the camera just panned over a few feet ... it would just be utter chaos? They can't all be minimalists, can they? Then again people have been cleaning the frick out their homes due to pandemic boredom so I suppose it's possible...
