It’s a reference to 80% of the first campaign Ashley being frequently absent and Skyping in because she was on the Blindspot TV show and working on Last of Us. @Peter_Cordes Жыл бұрын
That was a funny line from Spaceballs, but for me it kind of fell flat here since my first reaction was that Keyleth 100% does looks like a stereotypical D&D druid. She wears green robes, carries a staff, has "nature" vibes, and has literal antlers. I think they said in the commentary that Joe Star was the one who really wanted to put that joke in. I respect that, but to me it felt like a stretch. (I know it's a pun on "Jewish" in Spaceballs, but I assumed they put it in here because "druish" sounds like "druid-ish".) I'm glad to hear some other people enjoyed the joke, though.

We already knew that was true for the D&D game version of Trinket; a similar version of those events were in the backstory Laura wrote for Vex pre-stream. I haven't read it and IDK if it's been posted anywhere, but it has been mentioned. I don't remember if Laura or Matt (or Liam) had mentioned more details about rescuing Trinket, beyond the fact that he was an orphan. (I think in the watch party they said the original version had Vex fending off some men in the bandit gang who wanted to have their way with her; they dropped that part for the animated version.) Season 2 did confirm it was also true in the animated version. And more tragic for Trinket than we knew from the D&D game.

It's absolutely worth it! Funny, action-packed, and with great characters! Fair warning; very gory, too, which might turn off some people. But if you liked Invincible for example I don't think that'll be a problem; I think the gore level is pretty similar in both shows.

Compressing 4 billion hours of show into just a few hours? Of course it was bound to be amazing, but this show came out better than I had imagined it would be.. and then to tease us with Season Two being The Chroma Conclave!? I’ve never been so excited for a season of anything! It’s one of the best storylines that Matt Mercer concocted and Us Critters are PUMPED!
