it was nice that in this game, each team had different weapons. It's so stupid that teams in modern BF games share all the same guns.

Yep, and they managed to balance the weapons quite well with each other. Even the unlocked weapons had downsides, like the M95 being less accurate or the PKM firing slower. And the SF mod weapons were better in some situations, but not always. I loved the balance in this game.

It's especially stupid in WW1 and WW2 games. Faction-specific equipment is the way to go. It adds an authentic feeling to the game as well as a sense of an occasion. Unrestricted weapons for everyone is for special snowflakes.

hell of a round. I just started replaying yesterday. It's a long way to getting all the unlocks back... I was happy to see you rocking the DAO for most of your kills. As memory served me that it was a great gun, so I chose it as my very first weapon unlock.

Guan, no, he's right. LMG had the least recoil amongst automatic weapons in the game (as heavy guns should realistically), AND least accuracy bloom per bullet. In exchange they had huge movement and standing stace accuracy penalty.

Why are the enemies that are being revealed on the radar by the UAV being revealed "out of sync" with the spinning UAV animation? This can be seen at 3:14 -- is this a bug? The revealed enemies used to always show up exactly in sync with the spinning thing when I played. Just wondering -- nice vid :)

you may also notice that commander spotting in command screen is not registered on the map when the scan is active

That particular bug I do remember happening in vanilla BF2 for sure, where the commander-spotted units didn't show up on his own screen. That was a frustrating one. When I would play commander, I was always unsure if the manually-spotted units showed up for the rest of my team or not, during scan. The UAV radar being off-sync I've never seen though, is that a bug specific to the battlelog.co version?
