It's so interesting how the captor/captive trope worked for me in the Ever King but I absolutely hated it in Rain and Shadows. Maybe because Erik and Livia had prior interactions I could believe they were forming a genuine connection and not just magic induced horniness. Anyway rain and shadows was a firm DNF for me.

Totally agree with you on From Blood and Ash. Love the whole series! The audio is my favorite way to "read" the series. So well done! Have listened to it an embarrassing number of times. Like enjoying an old movie over and over :)

Not gonna lie. I DNF’d Rain of Shadows and Endings in December only to finish it in January. Mentally I struggled with the hopelessness Tessa felt. It wasn’t so bad after I got past that but by the end, I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue the series. I was so confused by the end but o think I’ll continue it eventually.

I love From Blood and Ash. I read up to book 3, and I decided to stop there because I wasn't a fan of where it was going. I loved the character as Hawke, but not so much as Castille. Quicksilver was soooo good.

I'm sad I don’t have any special editions of books that I buy 😢. The edges are so beautiful. Sigh. I was going to read Zodiac Academy because I thought it was a reverse harem but it's not ☹️. So I read Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac and Darkmore Penitentiary instead... which I totally recommend. I am in the middle of reading the first book in the ACOTAR series for the very first time. I'm going into the series with a blank slate. I barely got into romantasy last year so I have a ton of books to read.

I read like 50% of it and then stopped because I read spoilers by accident that someone posted in a thread for another book 😠😠. So I was like "Done!". Apparently it's also a 'why choose' but it didn't really come off as that from what I read.
