I get goosebumps every time I hear that last high note. I actually went and bought the single after watching this. So campy, but so fun. And, a very good performance. I’ve found that I sometimes like her live performances better because her voice isn’t as affected by the production of the studio recording.

I love Kylie and her songs 😊 But I don't agree with you that she always sings live. There have been pre-recorded songs to pretend that she is live :) There are moments of her voices without singing into her microphone 🙃

I was around 13 when Kylie released her 1st album and I must say I hated her and her music at the beginning. I was a big Madonna's fan, so you know. Over the years I learnt to appreciate Kylie's vocal abilities, classy sexiness and her friendly attitude towards the fans. I try to go and see her live performance whenever she's around (and sometimes "around" means hundreds of kilometers and going to a neighboring country). I never left the venue disappointed. And what I love the most about her? She always smiles, hence her nickname: Smiley Kylie. It's plain to see she truly enjoys her job. And this is pure gold.

When Kylie came to perform in the US, I saw her twice. I hate when people say she can't sing, which is not the case. She sings live during every show and while she doesn't always hit the notes, vocally she sounds way better than some of these current dime store divas

I've been to a live concert of hers. She holds everybody in the palm of her hand with the whole performance. Yes she does get a whole arena Singing along in full disco mode and transfix everyone with a gentle lullaby.

She is technically not an outstanding singer BUT her tone is very suitable for pop songs AND she always has good control of her voice. I can't remember hearing her crack and singing wrong in any live performance. She is a great live entertainer.

Kylie is underrated i think, there are not many artists who would sing that ending unless they are known for those notes, this wasn't the full capacity to which kylie has performed the ending, i think with either the kiss me once tour or the itunes festival to promote kiss me once she asks the audience if they wanna go opera and she goes full opera singer :D

Correction: she's better live. The style of the music she does is more about the production and heavy use of electronica, there's not a lot of space for her voice there. But when she goes onto the stage, that's a different story. This is where she proudly shows what she can. I managed to make a couple of people Kylie's huge fans after taking them with me to see her live. ;)

Ahhhh you did her! I’m over the moon! Thank you!! I love that you chose this song with the high notes at the end, although she ALWAYS nails the final note - I think the delay and reverb effect was put on the note in post production to make it sound even ‘more’. It wasn’t needed. She hits a controlled E or Eb higher than that in the locomotion performance for the Christmas shows, with no effect and it’s pure goosebumps. Like you said, this song doesn’t have much light and shade and doesn’t showcase her dynamically - maybe another Kylie video could be done where you look at a song (like The Crying Game medley) where she has to use a lot more technique? Xxx

Yeah I agree, her natural tone doesn’t do much for me either but she is pretty consistent live and doesn’t rely on playback, if you compare her with similar artists to her (Madonna, Britney) I think she’s the most likeable personality wise and the strongest singer. I do think her head voice is impressive, it’s beautiful.
