One of my favorite entry song this year in eurovision and he has a powerful voice. Mon Amour means my love and it is a sad song questioning her if she loves him or not. French language is just very beautiful to hear .

Well there is no 100 ways of staging a song like that. And barbara and duncan did well cause it was stage this way too : the singer alone and with a good lighting. Thats what is needed for sure.

Obviously with only one song we have no way of knowing how it will do at this point so a waste of time wondering about that. What we can say is that it's a brilliant example of its genre and that there is an audience for this kind of song at Eurovision both from juries and televoters (as Marco Mengoni showed last year). His vocals are sublime and having listened to other live performances I ihave no doubt he can reproduce them in Malmo. As you point out the way he performs to camera both with his facial expressions and his hands are very captivating. Therefore I do hope that they won't over complicate the staging because for this song to work we need to be almost 100% completely focused on him and the passion he is delivering. There is a phrase that "a whisper can be as loud as a shout" so keep the staging minimal and just let the audience watch him knock the song out of the park in May.

I love your excitement, Georgina! 😊 Honestly, I love Eurovision and love celebrating the run-up to it as early as is warranted.... But also, Eurovision news makes me put spring in my sites even at the very start of winter! 🤣 We started following Melodifestivalen a while back because we love Sweden and very often they're our favorite entry.... but an added benefit of that was that the Eurovision season started in February for us! 🤣 Now we follow several national finals and the news of entries - so France's announcement made for the earliest start of the Eurovision season that I can remember! 😊 Did you hear that they announced the artists for Melo earlier today? I absolutely adore this entry. But generally speaking it doesn't seem like ballads ever do that well.... and while I hate that it's such a heavy part of the competition, the staging will have to be wonderful. This is true for all the acts but I think especially for ballads because people look for excitement and dramatic staging ads to that especially for a ballad. Thank you for your thoughts on the song AND your enthusiasm! Its contagious! 🩷
