Switzerland is my ABSOLUTE favorite, it's so good. The voice, the lyrics aren't too boring, the mix of pop, rap and opera and the originality without being a crash test or a pisstake song. I love this song so much and I really hope it wins! I've seen a lot of songs I like but this one is just above, imo.

I’ve met Nemo a couple of times - my sister used to be together with another Swiss musician/producer who worked with Nemo back when they did only Swiss German rap. Nemo was a teenager at the time, and my sister, who is a professional singing teacher herself, described them as very talented. It’s impressive to see how much they developed in the intervening ~7 years!

I always watch your videos and what a nice surprise to see Nemo on here, I know them through work and friends and they are incredible. The Code is a reference to Binary which is made of 0 and 1. So when they say "somewhere between the 0 and 1" they are refering to being non-binary. Some background on Nemo. With about 15 they won a talent show in Switzerland and got big in the pop genre but they are also a freestyle rapper. The song is challenging but Nemo can hit those high notes live. I'm excited to see my country represented with this song.

As much as Gjon’s Tears was the best performance we had in a while, he was praised very high by the critics but not the regular audience and i could relate to why. I think this one may be the biggest chance for switzerland to win Since the last time they won because yout got all you need to please the critics but also enough to please the regular audience. She is no rock in the waves: 3 years ago, shortly before Italy won, she told that the Italian entrance was unsuitible for this contest, inpropiate and that everyone should sing in English. I am a gay man in the US with a multi-racial family, three languages and cultures. I just want to point out the song is about more than gender. If you zoom out it speaks to universal feelings - I don’t fit in one box. People are making me choose sides. People assume things about me. I need to figure out who I am. And that is why the song is beautiful & timely. All the more so with computer references, either 0 or 1. Humanity is not a computer algorithm and that is why we should embrace it.

The whole song is a masterpiece. Nemo is non-binary and breaking 'the code' refers to them breaking the gender binary and roles. I absolutely love the lyrics, especially the reference to binary as 0s and 1s. Along with how good their vocals are too I'm sure it'll be amongst the favourites in May 🙌

Fyi, it seems "Gjon" in Gjon's Tears is pronounced like John (no extra vowels, and while the Gj consonant may sound subtly different in Albanian, when he's introduced himself in English interviews it just sounds like John to me. I appreciate your perspective on vocal quality. With so much technology & production, it is important that we realize the human voice matters. I saw a video of Nemo doing this live and interview after. He is out of breath. This is athletic. The tempo changes, the range of notes & mood…The emotion and movement you need to perform this live and connect with an audience… And he achieved all that. This is Olympic gold medal.

"I, I went to hell and back To find myself on track I broke the code, wo-o-oah" And in the bridge, they say: "Somewhere between the 0s and 1s, that's where I found my kingdom come" The 0s and 1s refer to the binary code.
