I remember the first time I heard her sing ever. It was in the Arsenio Hall Show. She sang Vision Of Love. I was 19 or 20. I was so mesmerized by her and her voice that I literally didn’t sleep that night. Now her voice has been the soundtrack of my life. A marriage with 2 kids, a second marriage & the kids all grown up now. The years flew by but her talent has remained. Love her forever!!🙏🏽❤️

It's the first time since 2006 during the Adventures of Mimi tour that she sings Vision of love with a whistle. Vision of Love is one of the songs she has never lip synced, it's a legacy song for her career and she brings it to performances on TV only when people need a reminder she is still a master vocalist, when she was about to release The Emancipation of Mimi at the Bet blueprint (best live of that song), right after New Years Eve debacle and right now. The second song is named "Close my eyes" it's from her album Butterfly, it's one of her top 3 favorite songs next to "Underneath the Stars" (Daydream) and "The Roof" (Butterfly). Critics said that Close my eyes was one of her most interesting songs up to that point, different musical arrangement, honest lyrics full of metaphors, it's basically sung in falsetto most of it however she has changed it sometimes like on the Rosie O'Donnell show she performed in a fuller tone shows how versatile the song can be, the arrangement is very unique, the climax is sort of modest however you can feel is a climax and the lyrics are very personal. She used to cry a lot when performing it in the Butterfly tour. She skipped a whole part in here where she sings "Funny how one can learn to grow numb to the madness and block it away, I left the worse unsaid, let it all dissipate and I try to forget" and the original song does not have a whistle. What she sings and you didn't understand is "Orange clouds roll by, they burn into your image and you're still alive".
