Your batter stays so fluid. What lye percentage do you usually work with? My batter gets thick too fast. I can’t do any cute designs.

I use a steep water discount 1.5:1 water lye ratio. I try to not over mix in the beginning. I blend until just reaching emulsion. I don’t add my fragrance all at once either. I add it as I go. The recipe I use is high olive oil amount. So that may help too. May I ask you, is the lye solution that you poured into the fat still hot so that the still frozen fat becomes liquid with the still hot lye?

The lye solution is over 200°F so it will melt the hard oils.
