This is exactly the season I'm in. I had a conversation with the Lord yesterday about Him going before me and me ALWAYS following Him. Not knowing where, what, how can lead to fear. He has given me His peace and everything shifts. Thank you Brian for this word. God continue to bless you abundantly! 🕆

Such a good word. Speaks to me so much. I recently finished a phd program. Looking back on my journey, I saw how the Lord enabled me to withstand the theory of evolution and all sorts of humanist views and philosophies - I came to Christ only the year before I started out in university. By the end of the battle, I felt His peace and presence more than ever. There were testimonies from friends and colleagues in recognizing this peace as well. I must go looking for the honey to keep on going. I desperately need it now. Thank you so much Brian. Every time I listen to your messages I just want to know Him more.

Thank you Lord Jesus I really needed this! I've been dealing with an ongoing concern & I keep wrestling with it & going before the Lord because I didn't know what to do about it.. This concern or what was presented to me is out of my element & I wasnt quite sure how God felt about it so I really needed guidance before I could move forward. But the great news is I don't have to worry about it however I do have to surrender my fears & trust God in this matter.. Things will flow accordingly but he wanted me to know that he does call us into unfamiliar territory or even to people that are different in character, morals & values... This is truly what the Gospel is for! It is only by his grace that He sustains us in these circumstances that does not make any logical sense .. Ive already been ridiculed a bit & it was scary.. But the anointing & God's perfect grace is all I need as long as I'm in His will that's all that matters! So this morning I heard the Lord say get up & spend time with me & I had a vision of him placing the labtop on the bed right in front of me & then he said to "watch Samson the movie"... Now I've read this particular story & it has always been my delight. I thought it was so amazing how God used honey to sustain him as he was passing through, but what I find most interesting is that God used the very thing that Samson destroyed to preserve something essential left just for him (a reward if you will).. It's like gathering the spoils of war after a great victory... I just love it!! Thank you so much for breaking it down so i can better understand it more.. The revelation & wisdom is phenomenal!♥

Thank you for this. I became a believer 2 years ago and the path God has me on has me meeting resistance quite often. Thank God for the resistance because that is what has grown my relationship with Him in a way I never thought. He has kept me in peace the peace that passes understanding. I love hearing the teachings on overcoming and letting God lead instead of well meaning people. God knows the path and as long as I seek Him I stay in peace with joy. I love being a Christian wish I had become one sooner.

Sampson was not to be near grapes or the dead. The honey was from a unholy carcass.

As a nazarite , the honey would have been AGAINST his vow....the honey was unclean

Was it a sin for Samson to take the honey out of the dead lion because he was a nazarite and wasn't supposed to touch anything dead?
@aliciaseidel87465 жыл бұрын
Yes, which ultimately led to his death, because he broke all the carnal nazarite's rules that the Angel of the Lord spoke to his parents. He still had God's favor even after breaking them, until Delilah, which was the last rule left that he hadn't broken. Cutting his hair.

God used Sampson's carnal nature for His purpose....God working all things for good like Joseph with his brothers. Although, God had chosen Sampson before he was born, and gave him a gift if strength and appointed him as a judge, Sampson is known to everyone as a weak man. Strong physically, but weak spiritually, constantly giving into temptation until the Lord took his strength from him. So, yes, God does move differently than he may have in the past (I have seen him do that before), and we have to listen to his spirit, but Sampson was a carnal leader, and God was still sovereign over the situation, and God does not go against his word, the law He gave to His people warning them about taking foreign wives because they would turn His people and their hearts away from the Lord. So, the Lord's ways are not our ways and He does move differently, and uses all things to accomplish His purpose, but He does not contradict his law, and Sampson was willing to go against godly counsel and the law to marry an unbeliever/foreigner because she was pleasing in his sight...his lusts...and ultimately, Sampson reaped the consequences of marrying ungodly women....first wife was given to another and Delilah....well, we all know how that turned out. God won't be mocked.

What a truly horrible offensive and stupid story, justifying cruelty, injustice and bigotry. The fact that you can’t see that makes me sad for humanity.
