We say PECHKA not petchka, from PECHA - a form of the verb PEKA which means to bake (PEKARNA=bakery). PECHEN or PEKAN means baked, it can also mean cool, experienced, reliable or capable (for a person) 😁.

Great channel, love your layed back style,i live in Bulgaria also have done for 10 years ,just a word of advice you are better off sittuating the petchka on an outside wall and have the pipe outside,alot of these old Bulgarian houses have so much creasote build up in the chimneys its a real risk of a chimney fire,as a couple of people i know have found out,one nearly lost the house,if the flue pipe is outside the house no problem

Great job and plumbing is always a pain, never seems to be right first time. Keep an eye on those flexi pipe connections, they have a habit of failing (in our experience). The toilet hole is small wow, but toilet seat down is a must - keeping smells and germs to a minimum. Lovely to have a working bathroom though. Happy New Year to you both!

Yeah plumbing is always a task, but it has to be right doesn't it.? lol I've been warned about the hoses, so it might be worth having the measurements written down somewhere in case I need them in the future.. 🤔 Lid down for flushing yes, but the seat itself needs to be up for peeing, at least for me..probably down for Karen 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 It's great to have things useable now..such a difference.. The trap is sorted Jim..I had to wait to fit an extension bit to the grey pipe..you'll see in the next video it's taller and the trap is formed with the white pipe.. 😉👍

Plumbers putty for drain and som thick Teflon tape for the thread should do sort fitting the sink never works first time 😂 water is a bastard 😂

Plumbing is never straight forward and yes you're right..thick teflon is a must, although I've not encountered any thick stuff here yet.. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Water is best in a mug...lolol 😂

@ well I’m a timber framer so plumbing is far from straightforward for me - another tip avoid push fit systems solvent weld is worth the agg and Teflon just get what you can and go as nuts as you like with it. None of us are plumbers here so who’s looking 👀

@hamptonwick4962 yeah the main plumbing we did was using fuse welded joints..a total different system to anything I've used before..gotta alter a couple of pipes, but I'm working up the courage to cut two good pipes to add lengths to them..one day 😂👍

Woop Woop for the working loo. 🥳 Need to a do short about picking the size of the toilet waste - never entered my head that they would be different sizes and some are more suited to pee and not 💩 As for the toilet seat - it should always be kept shut. For many reasons, don't want to spread those germs when flushing. But for feng shui - seat closed to keep the positive energy and wealth in the house and not have it escape down the drain.

Lmao! We could maybe go to Praktiker and do a comparison of toilet exit chutes.. 😂 Yes, I gather that the lid should be shut for flushing, but the argument for seat up or down will stay forever..we never argue about it, but I know it's a thing..lol Feng Shui just confuses me..you need things like shelves in your life, but shelves are bad as they slice into your well being, but then all your belongings are in a heap on the floor, so you trip and die..or something like that...lolol 🤷🏻‍♂️ Have a great New Year.. 🙏💜
