Use yarrow blossom poultice on the bleeding nail. Stops the blood and take the pain away and disinfects

I loved this. I have always had Goldens but just got a Goldendoodle F1 (she's 15 weeks) and love her so much. I watch as many videos as I can on them and found this. I now know what she will look like if shaved close. My mother, who is/was a dog groomer was like "seen this a million times, and what? what's your (my) problem?" when I showed her the video. I'm like "SHUT UP" lol. Thanks for showing me what she never told me :)

That dog should have been walked and zoomied and then discipline walked, before going to the groomers. Also, those long hair dogs, you can wash them and then condition and then slicker and comb them while wet with the conditioner in the coat, which is the easiest way to get through a longish coat: especially if you have undercoat. Then rinse and dry. Under coat probably less likely on a F1B than some. I just had to home groom a big doodle cross whose coat was tooo long like that. I couldn't get through it with the slicker, so I just chopped it shorter with scissors (something pro groomers won't do), so I could slicker, wash, slicker some more and finally got the the coat nice and mat free so I could clipper with a comb. The reason those groomers were perplexed is the coat is simple too too long to deal with, and not completely brushed out, but not really that bad either, because she is a F1B and has a nice coat.

Tbh I didn’t see any blood on the ground when Honey was brought out to you guys by the groomer. Perhaps the nail was trimmed very close to the quick, but with all that pulling forward, scratching the ground to get a grip to get forward Honey did that probably to herself. Between her being super excited and not being trained to walk on a leash nicely these things can happen. Honey is “walking” you guys and pulling you all over the place. Btw that first groomer was brilliant, taking her time to talk to you, showing you the tips with the hair dryer at home, what products to use etc . Why should she kill herself and attempt to brush out the matting and hurting the poor dog that was not brushed and maintained at home and on top of it is absolutely hyper and untrained? Honey should have had more opportunities as a puppy to get used to the grooming environment. There is a lot of work in doodles. Hope you learned a lesson this time, no point blaming the groomer for the short cut , only the “parents”!

Try using corn starch to break up the mats when you brush her. I also try to book grooming every 4-5 weeks for my goldendoodle. It’s hard to brush every single day. I try to do it once a week. It’s hard tho. Also, PetSmart gave my dog a horrible haircut. Never going back. This video helped me a lot when I first started brushing. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoXGh4qsjJmFjqc

You have to comb her at least a few times a week to avoid it getting bad to the point that they have to shave her like that...and that baby needs some training classes. She is a handful 😂😂😂 She’s beautiful!

This exact same thing just happened to me I have a golden doodle to and she has really the same way like she’s just very excited and I won’t even call anxious she just so hyper and a lot of the time will go places and even the vet one time was like oh my god she’s the most hyper dog and I’m just like she’s is very like friendly and outgoing. But also I will call my dogs hair a few times a week but it’s still got matter and I took her to Petsmart to and they had to shave her down also and I feel so bad because she had to get shave down but I really don’t know what to do because their hair is so freaking curly. Anyway yeah I was really anxious to like you I even went back up there like an hour after I dropped her off just go check on her because I was scared that she was going to just be too hyper and they were going to be able to handle her. Anyway your dog super cute

You need to train her a little better and start taking her out more, the woman was right she was matted. If you’ve ever sit down and tried to groom a dog with knots you would understand why it cost more 🥴
