Speaking of things that used to annoy the shit out of you. In her younger days my husky would never tire out and there was nothing she loved more than pulling you along. Every walk was an arm workout. She'd sometimes stop, turn around, and look at you as if to ask, "What's the holdup?". Now a days I'm the one waiting on her. Any time she gets excited about something and starts pulling a little I'm just happy there's still life left in her.

“That thing got a Hemi??” Edit: Holy shit. Lost my Dad to a hereditary genetic illness he was diagnosed with, when I was young and also went through a divorce this last year as my wife came out to me and I’ve been struggling with co parenting and the time off without the kiddos. Between watching your Dad slowly degrade in his age, and feeling helpless as if you’re a “Bad Dad” too because of joint custody are things that aren’t common or typically discussed as adults. Thanks Jon and Ryan for sharing this insight and perspective to ease the burden of what feels “normal”. Feels good to relate to people as obscure as it might be. 🙏🏼
