I had to come to KZbin to leave a comment about how much Sam’s story affected me. I’m over here crying listening tell his fathers character arc and it was devasting hearing about his mother’s loss of independence and the anger she felt towards herself. Wow i mean this was amazing thank you Ryan and Sam you’re the fucking man.

What an absolute champion in Sam Tallent. It was super emotional listening to his story. You could never talk too much on The Honeydew, its the place for the heavy and the low to be lifted high and given levity. Ryan as always just nudging and opening the door for your guest to have time and space to explain their story. No one does it like Sickler. #FTCF *****

The dumb thing I miss about drinking was I would prep sh!t for my future sober self, didn't always work out. But when I woke up the next day and all my batteries are charged in all the devices and controllers I own and coffee was made, it was pretty sweet. 3 days later when a single 4 inch stainless steel ballbearing(yes singular) shows up in an Amazon package, and you vaguely recall thinking your gonna bankrupt Amazon by buying heavy stuff that's cheap bc they have to be losing money on shipping, yeah Alcohol 😅

Mom was a hairdresser. Was in recovery and began to walk again. Didnt drain her head right had to go in two more times. Permanently paralyzed. Before that dad yelled and threw her on the ground thinking she had OD'd. Took our phones away so we couldnt call 911. No senior year, no 18th bday celebration, marine EMT grandpa passed from the stress, dad still throws her around but gets credited as an angel and savior. I sacrificed my 20's going back and forth to work and school and taking care of her cuz asshole dad worked and brother bailed by falling asleep in a cow and getting her prego. Gave up a full ride to Baylor cuz I couldnt leave her with my monster of a dad. Eh now im gonna try my shot at nursing to see if I can help some other folks out going through stupid shit like that
