If Minho were in any other idol group he could be the main vocal. He just happens to be in SHINee - which is Korea's best vocal group. And ALL of its members sing at least an octave or two above him. Hence, all their songs are really high - no other group can really sign their songs. They need more songs more in his range.

I cried for a long time tho because what happened hit too close to home as I had also lost someone 2 years prior for the same reasons and I understood why he did it too well. It's hard being in that place where it's so isolating and lonely even when you have so many people who love and care for you
