KZbin is great for fixing stuff. You really should get your own code reader for your vehicle. We have one and always make sure we take it on vacation with us.

Glad you two fixed the problem and saved sooo much $$$. Just one thing though, you should always start a screw or nut by hand first and then use the drill / impact gun. You don't want to cross thread the screw or nut and end up striping the threads. KZbin is such a great place to learn how to do things, where would we be without KZbin and Google! LOL. Safe travels

Thanks for sharing the wild adventure. You guys know there are electrical bucket type showers you can purchase that a small solar lithium battery that will run it. You just get a 5 gallon bucket of warm water and you stick this little water pump in it and it sucks the water up and gives you a great little water pressure shower!!!😂❤🏳️‍🌈 ps: The dealerships charge the highest amounts to fix things!!! Congratulations on fixing these things yourselves!!!❤I had to just fix my hot water heater in my travel trailer. The element was corroded and was causing all my power to fluxuate. I was afraid the trailer was gonna burn down. But I replaced heating element and poof! No more issues!!! Yay.

Ridiculous for what the dealership wanted? Stop and think about how much overhead they have to cover each month. Think what it costs just to keep that shop open. It is always good to know or learn how to fix things yourself but imagine what it would be like if all the dealerships and mechanics went out of business. The day of the small town mechanic are sadly over.

way to get on the check engine light right away and doing it yourself! I always search KZbin as well first when something goes wrong to see if maybe I can fix it before shelling out tons of money. Criminal really how much they charge you even to do something fairly simple. Glad you made it safe down to Texas, and so sorry about your sisters little dog. The auto repair shop is a ripoff!! It is great you did it yourself!!!! You need tape counseling after going to the dealer and getting your car fixed!!!

If we could get away with it, we love a 2 hour drive LOL. But driving cross country, we had to clock some miles so we tried for max of 6 hours if we could. Some days it was 8 hours but that was rare, we planned accordingly

I’m glad you were able to complete a minor repair but remember shops have overhead, expertise and pay a living wage. I repair when I can but appreciate & pay people happily when I cannot do the job. ☺️😘😎

See I told you that you could become a KZbin mechanic just like me!!! I would suggest that you invest in an OBD2 scan tool of your own and the service manual for your truck! Once you have these two things combined with KZbin you’ll definitely feel empowered ladies!! Safe travels!
