I was born in Hong Kong in 1950 and left for the U.S. in 1969. These films bring back some really fond memories.

Glad that you had a great time visiting my birth place and showing what it used to looked like. Fast forward 40 years and I was spending my R&R in Thailand from Afghanistan. I finally understand why the older generation in Hong Kong kept saying American soldiers on holiday were crazy. Because you knew that might be the last R&R.

I have always loved the iconic Star Ferry. I remember always checking out the name and year of manufacture of the boat on each crossing I used to make when I was a child.

Great to look at Hong Kong on film. I was stationed there for 2 years with The Black Watch. Met quite a few American Navy guys there as well as Aussies. Its an eye opener for a young lad as I was at the time. Many thanks Buddie.

Lots of memory from my growing up years in Hong Kong.Where Eagle's Dare was premiered in Hong Kong on New Year's Day 1970 and full blasted the box office for a straight 3 months.
