This 1 Video proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that you can shoot an entire Cinematic Hollywood Theatrical Release film with this camera and just one light for fill or effect if needed.

This is beautiful. I shot these ferries on the original BMPCC but without the ability to shoot at a higher FR and slow down, the footage was borderline too shaky to make proper use of. Would love to revisit with the 4k, your film really shows what can be done!! Fantastic, keep up the great work

Did you end up going to Hong Kong? How was the BMPCC 4K?
@danielblack5196
@danielblack5196 2 жыл бұрын
@@raksh9 I did. and I got a lot of cityscape footage. I just need to find it. I honestly thing I may have lost it all... very sad to see this comment and remind me of that lol. I currently use a Panasonic S5 for hybrid video and photo instead but am going to get a blackmagic video assist for the BRAW. The BMPCC 4k is still the best value camera out there.

@@danielblack5196 Oh no! Hopefully all the HK footage is on a drive you just haven't found yet. Funny, I'm using the S5 as well, such a versatile camera. An external recorder like Ninja V or BM Video Assist might be useful, too. I hope you find your footage.

Alessio, great work and storytelling, you genuinely capture the beauty of cities. Both Shanghai and Hong Kong are places which make me feel alive with wonder and awe each time I visit. Hard to capture those feelings when you're in rich and enjoyable environment of those cities but I think your work pays homage to this. I've also picked a camera for the first time and I am inspired by your recent videos , I think I'll go and film my travels to tell my own story when I'm there in the next few weeks. Peace and keep your work Alessio!

@jackg5321
@jackg5321 6 жыл бұрын
@@alessioavezzano Sony RX100M3, first camera which I think will easily go well with travel. Though originally bought it for photography, I think filming is as much about the composition to capture the atmosphere like you've shown, for me that's what a holiday is about. Might not have the wow factor like the black magic but I'm lucky to be going to Shanghai and Hong Kong which in themselves have plenty of character and beauty. Will practice with camera before going and have a friend studying media in Shanghai who can help :) Always a fan and hope to maybe see you and mamahuhu shooting in Shanghai!

Rx cameras are great and you can develop your skills without getting started. I find you gain so much skill from just finishing a video start to finish.

Just got back from my trip to Hong Kong a couple days ago and I've gotta say you did an amazing job capturing the beauty and spirit of the city at night with this video. Gorgeous work, man! And I can't wait to get my own Pocket 4K eventually! How's the Super Takumar work for you? I know they're radioactive, right?
@alessioavezzano
@alessioavezzano 5 жыл бұрын
I really like it and yes I know, but you need like 1000 of them 24/7 to do any damage. I have been more and more using contax zeiss lenses as well.

Alessio Avezzano I’ve heard people compare the Takumar to Cooke lenses. Would you agree on that front? Are there any good wide angle lenses that would match up well with it?
@alessioavezzano
@alessioavezzano 5 жыл бұрын
I couldn't compare as of yet. I do have a 28mm F3.5 Takumar that has some really nice distortion in the corners.

Hi Alessio, this looks so good! How do you find the P4K compares with the GH5S in terms of handling and overall use? I have been using GH cameras for years and am debating whether to go GH5S or P4K. I shoot mainly with a monopod for docs, sports, corporate and events.
@alessioavezzano

More cinematic image but less run and gun than GH5S. Absolutely needs rigging.

this 67mm in ff equivalent correct? Does it feel too tight? any other vintage lens you can recommend , i like the 35mm ff look or a 50mm ff look
@alessioavezzano
@alessioavezzano 5 жыл бұрын
I think 75mm but I don’t pay attention to crop factors too much, each lens still has the characteristic of it stated focal length. No other vintage lenses to recommend so far, and it didn’t feel too tight. I could have taken more lenses with me but I chose to work with just one and make do.
@veganchasers2213
@veganchasers2213 5 жыл бұрын
@@alessioavezzano oh ok thanks, I might get the 35mm to try instead of the 50, I think for me 75 is too tight. I'm used to using 50 or 35 for most shots and occasionally use my 85 or 135 for tight shots. This video looks great tho
