Hong Kong buses and trams 1984

Record of a trip to Hong Kong in 1984. This is part one with scenes of the Hong Kong trams, KMB (Kowloon Motor Bus) Services, Citybus, some CMB (China Motor Bus) vehicles , more to follow and the New Territories tram system. Theres also a glimpse over the border at buses in Shenzhen. For some reason l am not able to edit this video properly so theres no titles or descriptions. If anyone can help with locations l would be grateful as my nots are incomplete . Enjoy.

Shenzhen is still a developing city. The public transportation in quite poor than in HK at this time. Local Public bus are all Chinese manufacture such as Guangzhou, HuangHai.

Thanks for sharing. I love it, it brings back memories of growing up in Hong Kong in the 1980s. My favourite bus type at the time was the MCW Metrobus, which featured prominently at 3:00 to 3:10 . I just loved the way it looked and sounded (best at 4:49 to 5:00). I also remember these sounds of the Leyland Victory 2 (3:35) and the Leyland Olympian (7:14 to 7:18). If you haven't already gathered, I was quite the bus nerd growing up. Thank you again, for this trip down memory lane.

Lived near Stanley in the 80's. Never forget the buses and the drivers, they were mad.

It should be in 1994 with the white coloured body Dennis Dragon 11-metre air-conditioned and Leyland Olympian 11-metre air-conditioned double-decker buses, also with the Mitsubishi Fuso MK single-decker buses.

That's more like early 1990s because many of the buses on the video registered after 1985

Probably taken around Lunar New Year 1994. At the end of film, there is a Lunar New Year Banner in HSBC Headqurter in Central.

The video should be filmed in 1994. You can tell by the license plate expire date of any buses in the film.
