To everyone who is saying this is animal cruelty, first off if you dont like this kind of thing why are you here?(no offence do what u want just sayin) second fish don't have the neuro-physiological capacity to be conscious and aware there in pain. For example, when a fish gets hooked when fishing it does not feel a hooking being stabbed into its lower jaw it just see's it. Therefore this is not cruelty if the fish are not in any pain. I agree. Not to sound heartless, but every country has a different way of doing things. I know people talk about allowing an animal to receive little stress as possible or else it ruins the meat (not sure if the same applies to fish), but these are quick kills.

Even though I really like fresh fish and also know that these fishermen are working for living, I just do not like when they remove the fish's scale alive. As a customer, you can request the butcher to knock the fish out before cleaning it. Even without doing that, the deaths were relatively quick. Now imagine dying from cancer ... being deconstruct and eaten alive slowing ( usually from inside out )...

Sometimes fish is the only thing you can get if the soil isn't good enough to plant crops.
