@paige3406 This is a really great show. It's really fun and out of the musicals I did during highschools, this turned out to have one of the greatest emotional responses from the audience. It's for all ages. Don't be disappointed; it's an awesome show and you'll have fun regardless! I know I did, and we also did Fiddler and South Pacific -- no small competition!

easy way to settle this the first line in the show says "in this backwater of ENGLAND" so you can easily assume the characters are supposed to be English. in every performance I have see of this and even the one we did at my school we aimed for Yorkshire/high English accents. I don't blame the performers for the choices made on stage but even if you aren't happy with some of them you should always perform with 100% and this seems a little lackluster.
