So doing combo atk is dps loss in this playstyle?

I'd say slightly yeah. I did try both basic and combo atk at floor 17 boss with this build, and the clearing time was not too far away. But I'd say just stick with basic atk to fully utilize the ego's buffs and it's easier to play anyways.
