for the ones that want to try the game: first chapters fell "old" (the game has 7 years after all), but with each chapter it improve. but if you don't want to play the old chapters, in version 7.3, part-2 will come out and you can play that part directly without playing part-1 and part-1.5. and in part 2 (version 7.3) the gacha system will be reworked, fully equiping a character will cost 3 times less than before, so it will be much more f2p. right now we are in version 7.1.

I would be very honest, I hear a lot of good things about Honkai Impact 3rd, as someone like me saying that would play it but I never did, I never really got full attached to it After hearing most of the characters that were getting through Star Rail and seeing them as "expys" meaning that we're seeing their counterparts here, I will get this game a try, I hear a lot of good things about this game and hopefully I do enjoy it.

they are reworking the interface, and in 7.3 part 2 will come out, you can play it directly without playing the old content, furthemore the gacha system will be reworked as well in 7.3. (way less crystalls needed to spend on gacha to fully equip a character)

I got into Honkai Impact 3rd about 4 months ago... *one of the absolute best decisions of my life.* 🔥 This game is so God damn fun to play and it's story is absolute top-tier (definitely Hoyo's masterpiece). I never expected to get as attached to the game as I got, but the amount of tears I shed for these characters before even hitting the halfway point of Part 1 is honestly crazy. (The game's cutscenes and sad stories hit so unbelievably hard) 😭 *Definitely very glad there's been quite an increase in interest in Honkai Impact 3rd lately.* Hope to see you make more Hi3 content!

I wish this game wasn't so casual/newbie unfriendly. I've tried to get back into it multiple times only to run into serious issues since ofc, they do give a lot of free stuff and whatnot buuuuut: millions of materials to juggle, gacha equipment up the wazoo, and a few other things. The game ain't bad, it's just what I'd deem a bit too hardcore, plus it's way too far into its lifespan to start proper now. StarRail is more middle ground in the Hoyo trinity of Genshin StarRail and Honkai 3rd, so I stick with that one instead.

Part 2 will be friendly for f2p. 90 guarantee on valks, 60 guaranteed on weapon, free featured stig every patch, farmable feature stigs. More frags on dupes. Basically part 2 is a free game for meta players

Don’t force yourself to finish in one go, part 1 is long. Play at your pace since it rewards you with a good combat/story and crystals for pulls

Yep (if you care about the competitive side like abyss, etc) the powercreep is absolutely real, the game is obviously p2w but it's not that bad, you can compete as a f2p. And you still can enjoy the story and events without worry about any characters since they usually will provide that.

Honestly, the powercreep only start when you're at superstring red lotus/Nirvana but below that you can clear all the stage with scuffed team

Don't even worry about that tbh. Like the 1st person said, it only applies to the higher (we call them "whale tier" LMAO) tiers of the competitive side of hi3. You can complete these game modes as is (aka waifu > meta) and still get decent rewards. I have like, no meta supports but still am in agony 3-redlotus, which is the upper middle ground of abyss, and I'm able to clear most memorial arena bosses with near max points. 😊
