Before the chorus section, you can use either B major or Cb Major. But, Sticking with B major before moving to Ab major for the chorus is generally the better choice over using Cb major. For most musicians, especially myself, B major is more straightforward because it has five sharps. It is easier to read, and play compared to Cb major, which is loaded with seven flats. It's more accessible and makes the modulation to Ab major in the chorus section feel natural and not too jarring. While Cb major is technically the same as B major (just with different notations), it's the practicality of reading and playing the music that makes B major the preferred key for this situation. It simplifies the transition into the chorus, making the modulation smooth without adding unnecessary complexity for performers. You might say that Cb major has a much stronger relationship with Ab major because they are both flat key signatures. But the ease of reading music is more about the familiarity with the key signature and less about the theoretical relationship between the keys.
