Found it also better than genshin archon quests. Maybe it's bc of the theme, but the way they handled the characters here, esp the siblings and Aventurine is peak. Didnt like Acheron until this quest, with her motives revealed. Never was fond of Firefly tbh. Also the whole concept of Penacony was unique and fire, with all the dreamscape, roaring 20s inspo, and more

Despite the fact that the planet of Penacony mostly revolves around Harmony but I feel like up until now it is more the opposition between Akivili’s and Ena’s ideals. The bountiful opportunities yet uncertainty of Trailblazing against the comfort yet shackled of Order. But in the next update I believe the path of Harmony will definitely have a very major role. At the end of 2.2 we saw that the IPC is beginning to set in motion their plans of taking over Penacony and the Penacony folks will have to unite to defend their freedom. Just like in the story of Hanu’s adventure absolutely peak cinema.

Robin's singing really gave me that "hope" while fighting sunday, the goosebumps it gave me along with the special ability of the astral express train crashing to Sunday, I was literally HYPED !!!! The story in Penacony so far has been nothing but PEAK!! I literally cried at Robin and Sunday at the end :')) I hope the story of Penacony officially comes to a close as whole at the 4th installment! This game really deserves the best mobile game of the year and it shows! Honkai Star PEAK all the way!!! 🗣🗣🔥🔥

Ok since people are here I’m gonna guess they don’t mind spoilers at all so here goes, When they showed me the first (fake) ending I was like “I just know people are not gonna like how the penacony arc ended at all” and then Black Swan did her thing and I was shook!! There were too many red flags already, mind you. The IPC not wanting anything in return to help rebuild Penacony, us not getting a proper send off for Acheron, Firefly not being acknowledged at all, the unusual duo of Black Swan and Boothill joining the express AND us going to another place already!? After that I was like “I knew it! This can’t be how this update ends because I remember for the 2.2 trailer there’s a cutscene of the 5 express members seeming to face something and that has never been shown yet!” Anyway Penacony is clearly not over yet and I can’t wait for bigger stuff to unfold! Also I always thought that Acheron’s name sounded familiar but I never bothered looking it up and it turns out that it’s from Greek mythology. While her name is based on the river, her actions and purpose feel more like Charon’s, the figure that was in charge of ferrying souls through the river. I assume the water surface we stand and walk on in her little black and white dimension is another reference to the mythical figure and not just a purely aesthetic choice. To conclude, I have a massive headache right now because of how good the story is for this update.

I love how the story repeats the same question over and over that "Why does life slumber?" or "Why do people choose to sleep?", many people have different answers but in the end, no matter what reasons they have, we all still have to wake up and face reality.

What hits really hard is when Sunday is talking about needing to be the lone star in the sky to guide people. He sounds so broken and desperate at that moment, willing to do this plan but only from how desperately he wants to find a solution to all the suffering he's trying to prevent. You know why honkai star rail is such a great game, cause people can actively argue which world was the best with specific examples and i think they are both right. You can tell this game has something that resonates with anyone. Penacony is my fav world, but thats because im a musician and the metaphors of the unity of music resonated with me. But my friend her fav world was belebog because she loved the idea of a betraying mother and her daughter having to step forward into a world that is in chaos. I know someone else loves luofu (spelling?) Because it shows beautifully that the concept of immortality can be damning. So I personally think that every world is perfect in their own way and each one has its downfall.
