Also if you ever feel like playing honkai impact, be ready to feel sad from the game dialogue... this is just an act, every chapter(5-8hrs long) there are 3 acts(1-3hrs long) just by autoplay. And this cutscene is only from 1 act of chapter 3 part 2. And it made me cry many times(from 1 act) As a man, crying became a badge of honor now, because of how many shiz went down in this game... Welp

Yep! I think a lot of people forget how the first few chapters of Part 1 were like. Of course, I think they could have still made Part 2 Chapter 1 better/easier to digest after everything they've learned through the years. Regardless, I think we're in for a ride and Part 2 will be amazing.

I considered quitting part 1 after the first few chapters. I'm so glad I didn't quit. I considered quitting part 2 after the first chapter and said I'd give it until the end of the act to deliver. It delivered. I'm hoping that there isn't so much exposition and lore dumping in the future chapters, but chapter 3, although by no means perfect, gave me hope that the story will continue to be great.

unlike genshin or hsr main stories, which concludes within 3 patches, hi3 release story every patch, so there have to be patches with less interest. But end of an act is never to be disappointed.

I loved the animation in this! It's definitely gone a long way since the earlier attempts at 3D cutscenes in Part 1.5 and HSR. But... I think the one thing that was missing from this that made Animated shorts so memorable is the songs! ._. Without any lyrics, the music in this... I won't remember it, and it won't bring back any emotions when I hear it again. It doesn't compare to the instant recognition i get when I hear the first few chords of Cyberangel, TruE or Regression. It won't play in my head over and over when I recall this scene. It proved to be a good story in the end, I've come to like the characters a lot, and this cutscene was much better than what I feared when I found out there would be no animated short at the end but... it's still not quite up to the standards of what I'm used to in HI3. I'm definitely interested in exploring Part 2 further, but... I hope future arcs do a bit less of the "trying to be like HSR/Genshin" and bring back the things that always made Honkai Impact unique. Memorable finales with even more memorable music being one of them in my mind.

So that keeps this cutscene from being perfect, but doesn't mean it's not good. And I don't remember the music that played in the Durandal vs Kebin cutscene either.

Agreed. Music was one of the main reasons I loved HI3 back in the day and they've never let me down. The lack of bgm and reuse of old bgms in Part 2 is kinda disappointing. The old HI3 songs I've listened to who knows how many times by now. I really hope they add more songs with actual lyrics to the game moving forward.

Totally this, Hi3rd must bring vocal songs back, it was part of its identity... Duonigue boss fight music slaps though, I still play it sometimes in the background, even though it has no vocals either :D But it sounds sick, like straight up ost from DOOM.

Thank you. Chapter 3 is truly beautiful, a magnum opus. One of, if not the best chapter ever. Beautiful dialogues, beautiful monologues, beautiful narration, heartfelt moments that made me cried like a toddler, or lines that made me contemplate about life. I wouldn't have it any other way. Never have I thought I would glaze this much to a video game story, but here I am. I'm proud, and I'm obsessed.

I enjoyed this SO much. Thank you, Honkai Impact 3rd! The White Star and Black Star bedtime story also represents really well in the CG too. with Songque's Sun (white star) and Perception's Shadow Sphere (Black Star). What a fantastic Story Arc!! Can't wait to play the interlude!!!

Remember, before the final battle started, Chenxue talked about how she'd try to help the battle or something by using Oxia Anchor of The Apocalypse (which is the genuine Anchor). I think that's what happened with Songque at the end. I'm not sure though, because if it's the Rite of Tears, Songque would've died. Gonna rewatch the entire chapter again soon.

What a beautiful arc this was, he is a fairly well constructed character and this scene made me fall in love with the character. (because I see in the comments they complain that it is not an animation of part 1, but this is not an animation like part 1, this is a CUTSECENE that is very different from the animation of part 1, there is still no story to tell In this part 2, as we all know, hoyoverse,we know, in an unexpected moment, they hit us very hard in the heart.)

Songque is an important S-Rank Valk that is the Hercherr of the Void equivalent of Mars and is the start of introducing the Mars' very own Hercherr Entities. She even got an Elysian Elsium Ending send off to boot. They're treating her like a Side character with this. Mihoyo can't even be bothered to make her very own BGM like HOV's befall and they have Hoyomix. It goes to show that Mihoyo prioritizes HSR and Genshin more than developing HI3RD and so many of you guys are mad coping.

HI3rd at this year CNY released a 30 minutes animation a short movie with a full blown Song "Before Setting Out", whereas Star Rail only released a 3 minutes ordinary animation without song. Does that mean they focus more on HI3rd? They focus on x instead of y, is just an ignorant, and arbitrary way to see how game company delegate their workload.. If anything... They don't. They're different IPs with different management, that has their own budget. The delegation happened within themselves, isn't dependent/affecting with one and another. Ah yes just found out... You're one of those clueless that regurgitating the arbitrary narrative such as "they retcon the story, because they're showing old characters". That in and of itself is a absolute Indication that you didn't even play the story, or if you did, everything went right above your empty head. Most time captains spent with her was in events, she was only relevant in one chronicle story. She was a side character basically a Sensei to the girls, didn't actually get into battlefield until herrscher of the void caused an Houkai invasion attacking Hyperion She didn't have a main role until that part specifically, I didn't know anything about her condition, her background story, hell I didn't even know she was that selfless and loved Kiana that much to use the serum and sacrifice herself.

The first time we met Songque, I knew she was something special. Having finished the whole chapter, she is indeed special. The weakest Shu turns out to be the ace of the group. As for the animation, this is a very unique approach which makes it unique for the Part 2 arc. I know many still prefers the previous approach but this one is amazing in itself. Part 2 is now setting sail now!

Nice nice nice!!! Truly a good start to this narrative arc which could become spectacular. I'm really happy to be able to witness the stories of these new characters and to move forward as Elysia advised us. I loved how the narrative was carried out... Truly excellent work. For me it's fantastic. For those who miss the old cast, I can only say that life goes on, people get lost and find each other again and staying stuck on the same old acquaintances means losing a lot. On the other hand, getting involved in new things does not take anything away from the past ones and continues to make us feel new emotions. There is always time to see those you left behind again, to spend peaceful moments, but without ever stopping. Thank you on the Honkai team for everything you do and for passionately telling these beautiful stories.
