Oh my gosh, our Ida was absolutely amazing and she sang this so well. And she actually ahem, acted, and sounded sad. This person who's singing doesn't really fake cry well. If you've heard the Transformation Scene music, she's like, not even sad that her son is DEAD. But our Ida got really into it and she was super awesome! XD

I was a duckling and my friend was Ida and she had this beautiful way of making the emotion seem so real like she was about to break down right there in the middle of the stage and it made me and everyone else backstage teary eyed and heartbroken. A beautiful song!

I saw a performance of this play in January 2008 with my mother. At the time, a very, very close family friend of ours was missing. I could hear my mom trying to hold back sobs next to me. I was 16, so I probably tried really hard not to cry. I don't really remember. Our family friend was found dead a month later.

How would the script be edited? because It wouldn't be to hard to cut someones hair and make them look like a guy, but their voice would be way different. How would they get past that? I've only seen girls play boy characters if they don't have lines.
