The snowball effect the gentleman in blue shirt described happens so quick for many people which puts them on the streets.

I'm 57 i power-lifted when I was younger and now I'm experiencing terrible back pain unable to do the labor work I've done all my life. Rent is so expensive and food I'm ready to become homeless here on Maui I was thinking of going to Oahu for more opportunities emergency shelter etc.. Not sure what I'm going to do now. Except go with God. Thank you for this video.

In the nineties there were services for homeless all over, lunches and meals delivered to parks, vans that would pull up and give people food and clothes, soup kitchens all over, food pantries all over. Now they are few and far between and the homeless are no longer visible in most places. They seemed to have moved to states that have huge encampments.

No matter how you feel about the homeless, no one should go hungry. Jesus would feed them.

Seriously, I looked it up, most Homeless Hawaiian's get around $800 in EBT, surround by water, bring a bar of soap and a towel and learn how to fish! C'mon

A lot of people seem to have this fairytale of what it’s like to be homeless on Oahu. It is an overcrowded, urban environment. Fishing is very restricted. Waterways are extremely polluted. There is no sleeping on the beach. Even simple camping requires a permit and $$

So let them starve? So they'll magically start being able to afford a home and groceries. Plenty of homeless work full time. Housing is just too expensive

Exactly. There's signs Don't feed the pigeons. Poor birds. We destroy their trees to build expensive buildings for the rich. And then ,they get da nerve to say. Don't feed the pigeons. Don't feed the homeless. They gotta fend for themselves. Like I do, Every day
