This is my first mid range phone after years of being sucked into flagship handsets costing £1k and over. This honor 90 is incredible for the money I paid. The screen is stunning and completely outshines any iPhone or Samsung on the market now. The 120hz refresh rate makes a huge difference with the gorgeous amoled panel. If only my LG C2 TV could do this! If your aren't a snob and want bang for your buck... Look no further than this handset. It feels premium in your hand with a balanced weight that is unrivalled only if you have big hands. It's very snappy, UI is straight forward with no lag. The camera is a step up, and very true with hardly any over exposure. Battery seems solid and that 66W charging is unreal (quickest on the market at the moment) Can see why this might win phone of the year.

Yeah, when you compare it to the OnePlus Nord 3 which is gonna be 499 pounds and the pixel 7a which is 449 for half the storage I think it is. Better ultra wide cam than the OnePlus, so it's at least good value IMO. Just can't believe they didn't put stereo speakers in it! And I know OnePlus are offering 3 OS updates and have a more powerful processor, but the battery life should be better with the honor and performance should honestly be still pretty good, Snapdragon processors are usually much better supported than mediatek ones. One question Tom, can the ultrawide film 4k videos? Should be able to as it's a 12mp, and that would be a huge selling point if all 3 cameras can do 4k video

What about the fantastic Pocco F5, beautiful amoled flat screen, faster chipset SD 7 plus gen 2 which is 70% faster than SD 7 gen 1, ok? And the price of the Pocco M5 is much lower than this overpriced Honor 90, above 320 pounds vs 450 pounds of Honor, which is a big difference on price! Go millions times better for the Pocco M5, that is my opinion!

Please put more focus on eye strain. It’s a major problem for many people and companies doesn’t take it seriously because reviewers don’t want to mention it. I really appreciate what honor as done here and am shifting from iPhone because I have no options in the apple ecosystem beyond the phone 11 I can use without killing my eyes.

Well I bought a Samsung s23 ultra and absolutely hated it so I bought this phone and love it. Old phone was Huawei p30pro. The s23ultra was so heavy especially holding it for hours, struggled with a case, after 2 weeks the phone speaker and microphone stopped working so I was happy to get a £1250 refund. I bought this phone got a tablet with it for £484. With the s23ultra I also struggled with the width and sharp corners. Honor 90 in diamond silver and 512gb is brilliant.

Just bought one of these yesterday after my trusty Huawei P Smart from 2017 gave up the ghost. Paid £320 and what a step up! Right about the bloatware though, I spent most of yesterday trying to get rid of apps/ games and stop so much running in the background. Hopefully this will see me through for the next 7 years like my previous phone. Fingers crossed.

Why does a phone need stereo speakers? Does anyone listen to music through their phone?. I use a Bluetooth speaker which isn't stereo but sounds a thousand times better than any stereo phone speaker.

I had a Huawei P30 pro after years of iphones. I then moved to a google pixel because the Huawei lost the google app store but it isnt a patch on the huawei, its heavy, the camera is doo doo, battery doesnt last a day, slower to charge and sluggish. Finding out Honor is the child of Huawei, I need it!

Great review 👍Honor 90 price already down in Finland. It's at a very tempting price point now - probably it has to do with the release of OnePlus Nord 3? Anyway, here are the cheapest priced today in Finland/EU: Honor 90 (256gb) 349 €. Honor 90 (512gb) 399€. Bargain of the year? It should be a great phone, it appears to beat Nord 3 in battery life, front face camera, and 12mp ultrawide camera with a great macro mode, main camera could be a tie. A win for Nord 3 in updates and better performance with Dimensity 9000 and also stereo speakers. But at these prices Honor 90 is a great bargain in my opinion and Snapdragon 7 gen 1 accelerated is really enough power for most.

I forgot to mention video recording which has been disappointing on Nord 3 in the reviews I have seen, so probably a clear win to Honor 90 in videos too, as seen on this review it was great.

Thanks for the vid, I managed to pick up direct from Honor for £329 with the charger and free Honor ear buds. It's the 12g 512 storage. It was the camera for videos that grabbed me. Really pleased with the price. I had to have the Emerald green but I'll put a case on it anyway. Again, great vid, cheers

No OIS, no dual speakers, and an awful curved screen...best to avoid. Also no mains charger or case is included in retail box. Box in video was sent directly by Honor for review and is not a retail boxed product.

Honor 90 got dynamic display whice can switch between 1-120hz to save you battery Not only that the Snapdragon 7 gen 1 is Great for daily use for gaming it's not the best but it's still does the job if you are comparing that to the snap 888 Imma just let u know that the Snapdragon 888 is powerful but has a lot of heating issues and it's draining battery unlike the honor 90 I would never recommend to get the snap888 literally heating just cuz of daily stuff

True . I have a pixel and never use it's camera . People seem obsessed with phone cameras. All phone cameras are good for saving memories, candid photos etc .I have a dedicated mirror less and DSLR for photos . My pixel has a sub par battery and display, it's a bit glitchy ( albeit it has some clever features I rarely use) on first impressions I must say I'm impressed with this Honor phone.
