I think of my dad when I hear this song. My father passed away almost a month ago from cancer but fought hard through health issues for 20+ years. He adopted me and raised me well. This was one of our favorite movies. I miss him so much. RIP Dad. "Now you are free. I'll see you again. Not yet....not yet."

I'm in Aintree University Hospital Liverpool United Kingdom But before I arrived here I was in 3 different hospitals.2 times by ambulance and the last time by helicopter. I came with internal bleeding on my brain and my stomach. 49 days in hospital. I suppose to have a brain operations, but because of my liver function, I may not survive. I also need a liver transplant. Abandoned by family by friends by everyone I know. I'm listening to this masterpiece ❤️ everyday. Is giving me power and forgot about lonely time.

I was 21 when I saw this movie. I'm lucky to still be alive today. I became a homles drunk. Nobody wanted me around...i looked like a movie star , girls said I looked like neo from the matrix...i remember watching this part when maximus had a family. I didn't have a family at that time. I joined the army and became a man ...i now have a beautiful wife and family. I almost jumped off a bridge in my hard times...im glad I didn't do it when I look at my children. I had my throat slashed in big street fights..i was also hit by a truck as a child..i should be DEAD by now. But now I just wonder why?

Classic & priceless & timeless =]. Saw this in Luton before I began my year long sabbatical to see the horseshoe of the Mediterranean. Now we are free is a powerful mantra. Spent many nights stargazing in Greece, Türkiye, and Morocco looking for the True North Star. Had a guttural reaction to the end of this amazing movie. Movie makes one believe that there is an infinite force that we can tap into that is greater than our self. Never thought that reading “auto da fe” across occidental and non-occidental civilizations would be the best guidebook but it seemed to do the trick better than “The Lonely Planet”.
