Can´t wait to see the full review, especially the battery-endurance, fotoquality, the quality of phonecalls, the speakers. Seems that this will be on of the top 3 Smartphones this year. A long battery-endurance would be very important (for me). I still use my Huawei P30 Pro NE most times because the battery holds 2-3 days.

as expected Ben brings you the latest phone detailed first look videos !! I think i really like the look of lut videos you shared...but i do wish that pro or pro+ had the similar camera setup as mate 40 pro plus... telephoto lens+10 x zoom instead of 3.5x zoom lens...i think their 3.5x lens , 10x zoom pictures doesnt look good as huawei p50 pro pictures you previously shown !! which will be the next exclusive phone though :)

They certainly have some nice image processing! But there will never be a phone that's a true pro camera killer. Due to optics and sensor size, but also because pro cameras improve constantly as well. Actually DSLRs are outdated tech already and mostly been replaced by mirrorless cameras.

@@tkermi with ai enhancements, computational photography & new isp magic,10 bit color+ advanced color science, rgbw, sensor, improved bookeh in photos & videos. It's literally emulating and surpassing DSLRs in real world end results ❤️ Especially considering pro modes are getting more common.

@@Vhsss_God You clearly haven't worked with pro-cameras / glass or you would know the difference 🙂. For example Canon R5 with a RF 85 mm f/1,2L, RF 600mm f/4 L IS USM or Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO gives something no smartphone can achive. Same goes for Sony A1 with something like Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art, Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM or FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS. And even though not super expensive like many real cine cameras for video use Sony FX3 and A7s III are great. They have really good DR and colors even in low light and allow heavy post processing due to 16-bit raw video. Etc. Modern phone cameras are nice for snapshots and homevideos or entry-level vlogging. Their still photography quality is quite good indeed in good light if you don't need long reach. But for example my main genre is wildlife photography. For that I search the soft golden light and often need to work in low light conditions. Yet I need to use 1/1000s-1/2500s shutter and 400mm-840mm focal lengths. This simply isn't possible with any phone cameras even with any imaginable advancements in tech (within known physics).

But to be clear - I really like smartphone cameras! They have improved so much and are useful already for the simple reason that they are always with you. I have always bought the phone with the best camera(s), though not every year. Also during the years I have managed to take about half-dozen phone camera wildlife photos that I'm actually pleased with. So it's not impossible, just quite hard 😂.

Thanks for the hands on. You are definitely the first to go dive into this phone finally. I have to say i did not like the sound focus when you zoom in somewhere. It makes your voice sound far and focuses more on the zoomed subject for sound. Also the video looks a bit stuttery/blurry when moving and it's unwatchable. Maybe has to do with camera's framerate Zooming in video mode also creates some kind of discolouration as the main lense changes. What i'm really curious about this phone, since it's proclaimed to be a Mate 40 Pro, does it have some kind of desktop functionality once you plug it into a screen remotely? Also the gestures, are they as advanced as Mate 40's or much more simpler due to the lack of kirin AI processor? I remember the Mate 40 could do lots of things using just your eyesight and air gestures. The price is definitely steep if it can't compete with the 1year old Mate 40, but then again, i would not mind if Honor took all the best huawei's mobile division had to offer plus GMS. I would be disappointed if it wasn't superior in features compared to the Mate 40 Thanks

7:52 One thing that distinguishes phone footage from cinematic footage is motion blur. Does this phone's camera have built-in cinematic motion blur functionality? It can be achieved by adjusting shutter speed and exposure manually, but it would be nice to have it as a single button press function.

I wonder if you can get it shooting beside the S21 Ultra, Mi 11 Ultra or the P50. That main sensor is so much better than the one on the Pro, and does look, offhand, maybe a little cleaner in those dark shots than the P40 Pro with the same sensor but older software. Great as always!

I still find it amazing of what humans have accomplished in technology... you can instantly get in touch with somebedy on the other side of the world on a device that's also a video camera and a computer that can run all kinds of programs and you can carry around in your pocket. I have the same feeling when I see an airplane take off. It's amazing. Imagine 100 years, heck, 50 years from now what techonology is going to be like.
