We haven't worked with the Vodafone WiFi Hub before but as a general rule of thumb, the Honor Router 3 comes with connectors that plug into the back of most generic routers.

thanks for this review. You quickly brushed over the IPv6 screen... you should really ENABLE this feature to get more speed from lower routing delays. Phone really require IPv6 addressing for a smoother experience. However IPv6 networking a router (to a Gateway without bridge mode) is not very straight forward and the UI is very limited specially on my original Chinese unit (Google translate is better than nothing!) WAN side: IPv6/64 Address and link-local Gateway LAN side: Local IPv6/64 address + DHCP Server IPv6/64 address The pain really starts when you test live IPv6 routing using this command... tracert -6 www.yahoo.com lots of "1st Hop timeouts" showing faulty Huawei routing... ouch! So we really want IPv6 working but its a royal pain on Firmware "10.0.5.41" (~46 available update not being offered yet!) - I am starting to miss my Taiwanese Router: single core Asus.

Can you have one ssid for both the 2.4 ghz and 5ghz networks?

Pretty sure this is possible, Most new routers prioritize the 5gz frequency but drop to 2.4 for compatibility reasons.

I you want to ENJOY super SPEED... then keep slow devices and the Wifi6 device on SEPARATE bands. You really don't want to use the quick convenience of a single Wifi name. Testing: run a Ookla speedtest with a fast Wifi6 phone then connect an older device and rerun test to witness speed has dropped to peanuts. Choice is yours!

@@eFonesTV speed testing depends on a great many factors besides just the inbound ISP plan. To name a few: Ipv6 routing Activated filtering services Wired vs. Wireless To witness AX3 intranet routing woes ping your gateway WAN address: ping -6 "2601:xxxx:xxxx::xxxx:xxxx::xxxx:xxxx:xxxx" -n 20 (xxxx: use your own value) Results range from 4ms to 78ms or more depending on settings, ouch! The Quadcore CPU and amplified Wifi hardware with huge RAM/ROM are the best in the world for $50USD but the routing software yields rocky results. Tip: for simple heat dissipation I stand my unit on its side the heat can escape naturally from the aluminum internal heatsink.

@@eFonesTV hi, tried it myself with 2 honor routers, I didn't have to set up the second one myself, it sees the 1st router and automatically enters mesh.
