This made me cry. I am 66 years old and have seen my share of terrible events in war (Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Balkans) but to see such a young child leave this world is so traumatic. The support of all those who attended his honor walk is the America I know and I miss that America very much. God bless you David. Your a shining star.

'But Jesus said, “Let the little children come unto me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14. That little boy is just fine now. He's in Heaven. It's only hard on those who have to stay here and grieve.

Had they not used the free will God gave them to disobey God, most likely we wouldn't have the suffering we do today. Strange isn't it? Here in the UK we don' t have honour walks. I so wish we did, for everyone. To honour each life, it's time on earth, and all that it has done, and given, and meant, and all that we have held in our hearts for it, is a truly lovely thing. As a U.S. citizen I just want to say that not ALL of us agree with this kind of thing. Yes, it's a wonderful thing to help others like people do with organ donation. However, as a Christian, the way I was raised is that the greatest charity is that which is given anonymously and without expecting recognition or fanfare. Sadly, so many of my fellow countrymen expect something when they give something. Whether it's a million dollars to their old university or an organ!

Tears are flowing. What a beautiful child. This is why have a declined a liver transplant 3 times. I am in liver failure, but I can’t bring myself to accept a liver when someone else is grieving the loss of their loved one. I cannot find joy in someone else’s loss. Please don't feel like that. Those parents are going to grieve their loss regardless. Ask any donors family how they feel knowing their loved one was able to give life to others.I think it might change your feelings. For me I felt proud that she was able to give others a chance to live a better life and not be sick all the time or worrying how long they had to live. I'm not sure why you've made those decisions in the past, but when a match is a available that's WHY these terrible events occur. And finding a match is rare. IF given the chance again you need to reconsider, you may not have the selfless gift of life offered your way again.
