And Arlo Guthrie, son of Woody Guthrie, keeps the legacy flowing in his own amazing way. There was a time, btw, that pete seeger wore a suit and tie, as a matter of course. =)

This wipes me out every time--it's like he can't really believe he's that loved And I was just thinking, there is an unbroken line from Woody Guthrie to Pete Seeger, with Arlo Guthrie and Pete's grandson Teo knitting the whole business together. It's a marvelous pedigree of music.

He has a skillion relatives, Seeger does too, but the only one who has graduated past rhythm toys is Tao, and he doesn 't strike me as the spearhead of anything, as sweet a boy as he appears to be...I guess we just have to love the memories, save the records, and hope. =)
