AWW, Marcie, bless your heart...I'm sure Wendy would be very touched by your beautiful & emotional tribute to her. I didn't know her, personally, either...but like so many in the jewelry making community, I was also inspired by her. I think what I will remember most about her jewelry is all the amazing creations she made with the shells she collected...even using broken ones & giving them a new "life". I also learned a lot from her about taking jewelry making to a whole new level, by using lots of layering and creating interesting tassels & dangles. Of course, her devotion to her faith and family is, I'm sure, what we will all remember most of all...which helps me to find some comfort in knowing that she has "gone home" now. In any case, your Bohemian Beads selections are super...I reckon I'll have to check 'em out soon! 😯 Naturally, your earring designs are both very cool also...love the little "tribal" style turtles! By the way, I could be mistaken...but I THINK those lovely agate beads you used may actually not be dyed agate. To me, the amount of translucence in them suggests that they are probably moss agates, in which case, the inclusions in them occur naturally, as I understand it, from oxidation of various minerals present in the stone (manganese, iron, chrome). Regardless, isn't nature awesome? By the way, I'm sorry for not commenting recently. I was so sad about not being able to enter your recent giveaway...but I really TRIED (for days) to post a comment...however none of them would "stick" for more than a few moments...so if this one disappears too, I won't be surprised. Brenda, I feel the exact same way! I just can barely look at beading videos. Wendy touched me so profoundly. I miss her so much. I can only imagine the hole it has left for her family. I just keep thinking we are going to see a post saying it was just some awful hoax, and she is alive and well. Marcie, she loved your ability to put color together. I know she is looking down on us, saying don't cry, I am with the Lord. And God needed another angel. I am having a hard time writing this. She is greatly missed!

Beautiful earrings. For health reasons had not spend much time on the internet that being said, when I heard you talk about Wendy's passing I went into a spin what, what happened to Wendy. The last time I heard/saw her she was creating out of her work space/area. Once it saddled I felt profound sadness. Thanks for your tribute to Wendy. She truly believed and admired your work, that's why I heard about and started looking for your channel. I'm like all you. Never met Wendy either but something about her passing really bother me to. She was a great teacher and we all will remember her. I know at time she would say if you heard noises it was her husband Chris doing something. I think she said one time he was playing music. She also shared her dog saddle in her jewelry room. I didn’t know her either but yet I felt like I did and she was the reason I started my KZbin channel. I know she’s looking down and smiling at the memories she left us. According to Google, she and an 18yr old who was driving her motorcycle were on the way to the beach when a jeep, making a turn , t-boned the cycle. The force of impact was so hard that even though the kid had a helmet on, was killed instantly and she died a few days later.

She was in a motorcycle accident. She passed away as did a young man that was riding with her. I heard a jeep t- boned them and even with helmets, they did not make it. So tragic- still can’t believe she is gone! 😔

What a nice tribute to Wendy. I never met Wendy, but I felt like I knew her, and we had a lot in common. When I first started seeing her go to the beach and hunt for shells and make pretty things out of them I was very excited that somebody else besides me did that. I really wanted to someday go beachcombing with her. Your earrings turned out gorgeous, and I love everything you chose from that site. I will definitely have to check them out.
