Lovely video. I'm planning on re-entering the SIB world and am torn between the T38 (airfloor) for convenience & storage between uses and the T40 (alu floor) for the rigidity. I will mainly be boating on my own, so my question ..... Do you find there is a lot of flex-ing with the T38 becausee of the airfloor? I would be planning on a 15hp engine.

Cheers MandT . The T40 with that outboard would suit a trailer as it would be very heavy for one person to launch and recover. Mine doesn’t flex as long as I have the correct pressure. Given the choice I’d stick with what I’ve got. Remember the T40 will take a lot longer to set up if your not going to put it on a trailer. Hope that helps. 👍

@@123boat Thanks for the reply. Pretty much fits in with what I was thinking but just wanted some genuine hands on experience rather than the sales pitch. Thanks again.

nice video^^ how about if i use it with 15 hp 2 stroke and 4 peaple onboard?
@123boat4 жыл бұрын
Hi Nico. If your talking about 4 adults I'd be tempted to go to 25hp. 2 people and you'll easily get on the plain as you will see from some of my other videos with the 9.9 conversion to 15hp

What do you need to use your boat on the coast of the U.K.? For example, boat license, insurance etc?
@123boat3 жыл бұрын
Hi Lizz. In the UK you don’t need a licence for a pleasure craft nor insurance. I do have insurance in case I sink 😳 It also covers me for third party. Hope that helps 😁

@@123boat Ok! Thank you for your prompt response. Then if you took your boat on rivers, would the legal requirements change? 👍🙂
@123boat3 жыл бұрын
@@lizzbien4446 I can only talk about the ones in the south and south west of England and there is no requirement for a licence or insurance. You may have to pay harbour dues ie Chichester harbour but many don’t bother. Sometimes if you pay to use a slipway it will be included. The canal system I think is different to the above but you’d have to ask someone else as I don’t use them. Hope that helps a bit 😁

To use the rivers owned by the river canal trust you need to have insurance and you also need to purchase a river license

@@scaife5668 Hello scaife, thank you so much for your reply also. Would like to try the Thames somewhere near Henley. How much is all the above you mention going to cost? Plus I assume it’s all renewed annually? Any feedback appreciated. At least from a Coastal perspective as Boatsbitsandbobs points out, there will be less restrictions (but Insurance recommended).

Been watching ya vids and I’m thinking of upgrading to the honwave early next year,is it much trouble to assemble??? Would you recommend the air deck or flooring
@123boat2 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul. Definitely recommend the air deck. Much less faff than an ally deck. It's no big deal inflating, takes about 15 minutes to get it ready and about the same deflating and packing up.
