Grew up with the "Bulletproof Chinese" spots as well called them since they have glass up and the food just is solid and affordable. Ive never seen a pork chop sandwich from a chinese restaurant but you need to order that homemade iced tea next time. Good video.

Why is that? Do they think Chinese places will be closed on Thanksgiving (are they? Never looked) There are tons of immigrants and people from immigrant families who don't celebrate Thanksgiving. Hell, I went to the movies last year on Thanksgiving.

I like watching your Chinese restaurants reviews. My favorite dishes that I order regularly are. Singapore mai fun or Curry shrimp. I also love the Rangoon. Ours are the purse shaped one. With lots of cream cheese. Also love some H&S soup.

I grew up in a family who worked in a takeout business, the mei fun should maintain the yellowness from the curry powder, but if you want it extra spicy we would add extra chopped bird eye chilli's - no chilli oil. Good review schratz

A chinese buffet I go to has fried calamari and I always get a plat full of that and the hot chili sauce for dipping. I think it’s a better combo than the traditional marinara sauce

Bro, I totally feel you regarding the egg rolls, it’s impossible finding a good egg roll by me. I live in New York on Long Island, not too far from the city but a lot of the Chinese restaurants fell off because they are run by recent arriving Chinese immigrants from mainland china. The OG restaurant owners from the 80’s/90’s were from Hong Kong. They made the fire Chinese food but they all sold their restaurants and retired.

The Singapore mei fun spice should come mainly from the curry powder. I'm cool with chilli flakes but when they add chilli oil it tends to overpower the curry and it throws the flavor. 2 spots in my area add the oil and I stopped ordering it. I could tell by the color while you were forking it was going to be off.
