Hood Support Strut Install 2005 - 2014 Nissan Frontier

In this episode of DIY Willy we are installing Hood Hydraulic struts and removing the old hood support rod. This was a very easy install that I believe anyone can do. Aslo sorry for the shaky video. I guess the tripod was touching the truck.
So follow along as we continue to upgrade and improve our 2008 NISSAN Frontier..

By the way you had the arms upside down, how I found out is by installing one arm and it wouldn't hold the hood open on its own if you install them the other way one arm can hold the hood on its own

I installed some struts a few ago,the installation went fine, when I went to close the hood,it wouldn't close,the recoil was to little,so my question is what size struts should I look for??

Hello Kevin, Was it a kit you purchased? The kit should include the correct struts. Double check you bracket placement. Maybe the bracket on the fender is not correct.

I returned them, I was very unhappy with my purchase, after watching your video you made it look so simple, thanks for the strut reference
