You can unlock it early, but you also unlock it when you win a run.

Btw Cal, you can unlock gens 4-8 by finding a secret door (or you can just beat the classic gens 1-3 mode and it’ll unlock then)

hell yea also don’t worry about not continuing your previous run, the thing about this rogue likes is that you’ll eventually start all over, with upgrades on your base, so i guess it wasn’t all for nothing

A couple things: 1. Sell nectars and stuff money is sparce but when you have it you will realize how important it is to have lots of money 2. There are legendaries in the safari 3. Is a spoiler There are pokemon up to gen 8 you get them after you beat the game alongside challenges and new modes

Hey Cal, you should be able to safely save in a route. Just make sure you don't save in the route selection room.

Getting more of the random rogue-like adventure! 11:05 - 11:08 - Reminds me of when I ran into a shiny Venonat in Crystal version while leveling up. Ended up using it on my team the whole way through. Now a shiny Venomoth sitting in Home. Come to think of it, the Venonat line is in SV(If I remember right). Not sure if I'll be able to rename it(I did change it back to its species name before transferring, but it's probably locked to that now).

Hope to see this become a series, the game only gets better the more you play! Oh yeah, and if you want to get out of wild Pokemon encounters quicker, just mash the b button. It will auto bring your cursor to run, then auto hit a to confirm

I think if what i've seen is correct, Weavile and gen 4+ mons are in the game, but they're exclusive to re-runs. Main runs are gen 3 and below mons only

The game has up to gen 8 pokemon. But you need to beat a full run to unlock them. Or you can find the secret switch in a certain place and unlock it right away.

Thanks for showing this game! I downloaded it yesterday and had a blast with its chaotic nature encouraging adaptation. With some really good luck I was able to beat the champion on my first run! Shoutout to the long-running MVP of Dusclops w/leftovers and XDef items being extremely handy. RIP Kyogre who got Destiny Bonded in the midgame.

You can change the generations that appear in the game, by default it's till gen 3, but it's available upto gen 8

This is why I use Save States. I once made it through a full run, and the Hall of Fame save failed, so when I loaded the save, it was from hours ago and auto-Retired me. Lost hours of work. Now I save state after every new Pokemon caught and after every boss. I 'rest' before the final boss, load back in, save state, fight.

When you start for the first time, if you don't pick one of the 3 pokemon and try to leave, you can get a sunkern.

Tip for anyone coming back to watch these: catch rates are (probably) boosted, so it's safer to throw a ball turn 1 than attack most times.

If you guys didn’t know, after you beat the game once, it unlocks all Pokémon in existence, or you can unlock them early by hitting the hidden green switch in the config lab in the hub

You can eventually catch Legendaries in the Safari. They make the game too easy, imo, though. And at least one Quest requires you to not use any but some quests require you to use them, even specific ones.

Since fainted Pokémon get removed from your party at the end of a battle, I'm pretty sure you need to use the revive in battle.

Recently had a very good run, Mega Mewtwo Y, Tyranitar, Zeraora, Gardevoir, Arctovish, but then I just started fumbling and by the time I got to the league I'd lost my legendaries 💀 somehow managed to beat half of the E4 but that was it, this game IS harsh.

Lapras is a good pokemon to have i actually just played pokemon emerald rouge just a few minutes ago it knows hydro pump body slam sing and dragon dance i just keep on stalling my enemy pokemon by using sing then just spam using dragon dance then just wipe out my enemy by using body slam lapras is one of my best pokemon

I'm pretty sure reducing wild Pokémon's HP to 1 is completely unnecessary. I read on the wiki that anything under 30% (I think) is all the same. Maybe that changed after a certain gen.
