This may sound strange to some but I searched for this song for 3 years. 3YEARS!! I know of the hoodoo gurus but never listened to them. One day at work I heard this song play on the radio. I didn't pay too much to it but at the same time it stuck with me. And by the time the song finished I really liked it, bit it was to late to Shazam it or anything. The only thing that stuck in my head was the chorus but To be honest I wasn't exactly sure what the lyrics to it was. I could only just remeber the sound and rhythm. So I couldn't google it or anything, it was just a sound in my head. For the next 3 years I listed to the radio at work hoping this song would come on again. Every now and then the radio would play 2 seconds of it or something before it cut and went to something else. It was so annoying. But I kept on trying and hoping one day I would finally get it. I've never wanted to know a song so badly and to listen to it. Long story short, today at work the guy on the radio said "coming up" and played 2 seconds of this song and then went to an ad. But I knew this was it. So when it came back on I quickly shamzed it. finally after all these years!!!! I found this song at last!! AND ITS SOOO GOOD.

This tune is a sweet musical retrospective of the late 1960s. Hopefully, a new generation will bring it all back. Love the wah-wah and the short psyche guitar riffs. This tune reminds me of my old garage band days (1965 -- 1966). So, I'm "old." But, looking back, oh..., how the neighbors hated us.

With this one, I'm "wah-wah'ed" all the way back to the year of Easy Rider, the lunar landing and Woodstock. The guitar riff (with the people dancing under the parachute) is king tone, baby! This is outta control and brings back some of the best memories of my life. Break out the lava lamps, the liquid light projectors, the strobe lights, the parachutes and let's do it all again!

In my opinion, the lead singer looks a bit like an older version of Elijah Wood. This tune is king tone! A great tribute to what was left of the psychedelic sound of the late 1960s. Some of the very best in "psychedelic" sound was created between 1965 and 1967 (prior to, and during, the so-called Summer of Love).
@Telstar62a13 жыл бұрын
@TheFrazer84 It's one of my theories that bands with a decent sense of humor have a tough time in rock; something about "not taking it seriously" or "not respecting the Majesty That Is ROCK" or something. It's okay for boring, established acts to have a giggle once in awhile as long as it's generically "fun", but ones that are just naturally fun or even not "serious" have to work many times harder and don't get as far as bands that work the same themes -- Lovin', Rebellin', Rockin', etc.

Just for the record, pardon the pun, Kinky was the name of the Album this song was off, and the promos used the album name quite a lot. I don't know what other cultures think the word Kinky means but in English/ Australian it used to mean Alternative, Hip, Trendy. In the 1960's most people wore Kinky Boots and there was Nothing sexual about it. Unfortunately today it seems to mean Perverted.
