The Grim Reality of Mullens West Virginia

The City of Mullens West Virginia has been through a lot. With the loss of the coal mining industry, floods, and businesses having to close up, this area has yet to recover from the past decades of problems. Population is declining every year and right now sits at just 1,336 people...down from a height of 3544 people back in the 1950's. Poverty is a serious issue, and good jobs are very hard to find. You won't find many amenities here, but you will find a charming downtown and a place that's trying to make the best of it...what's left of it that is. Let's take a drive and check it out.
