What I was saying is, if the earth is spinning to the east at 800mph , then we are all moving 800 mph to the east. If an airplane is moving to the east at 100 mph that means the airplane is moving at 800 + 100 mph to the east. If the airplane is traveling west at 100mph, that mean the airplane is traveling at 800 - 100mph west. If you exclude wind speed it takes the same amount of time. An analogy is if we are in a moving bus going at 100mph, and you walk from the back of the bus to the front , does it take the same amount of time to get from the front of the bus to the back? It takes the same amount of time, because of relatively to the surroundings. The speed of the earth or bus is irrelevant. But if you jump high enough you won't land at the same spot.
