When you are young and you listen to music like this, it's pleasant and relaxing and you can feel so carefree. Perhaps you are coming back from a weekend at the cottage, after a great bbq, and your tummy is nicely full, face a little sunburnt, your ears ringing with laughter of friends, loved ones. The orange sun is just beginning to set and has a warm glow surrounded by a little purple, and the wind is in your hair. Many years later, when you have crossed the rubicon and there are more memories behind you than you feel are ahead of you, and you have weathered more disappointments, unkind reckonings, erosion of your courage and spirit, and heartbreak than you thought you ever would just with age, the same music can sound so different with the remembrance all of the doors that have opened or closed behind you. The music will have a strong shade of wistfulness and melancholy curling through it like a ghost.
