I don't give my locations away but most episodes are filmed up on the tablelands around Mareeba (freshwater) and the rest are filmed in Cairns except a couple have been further up north 👍

Can you give some locations to catch sootys new to Cairns but all I get is jungle perch in the creeks and rivers I fish never a sooty

Jungle perch are fun and a beautiful fish but I know what you mean, hard to beat a big sooty.... Try the barron above the waterfall, kuranda, koah, mareeba or try the other way down the coast near ross n locke... I dont give away my exact locations but big sootys can be found in all the rivers on the tablelands 🤙

Hey you should check out torrisi road in Mareeba just follow the road down until you get to the rough track and walk down the hill, your right by there anyway

Have to run tight drag or the sooties snag you straight under the bank or around a log.... this water is only about 5ft deep not 20ft like tinaroo so locked drag all the way...
