I have a LW666 grader. We recently finished refurbishing some of the gear boxes and now have hydraulic steering. Using it to maintain our access road to the ranch. Good old machines, but have their drawbacks!

Loving the upgrades to the 53 Adams! The master cylinder location is almost as nice as a newer Galion 104! The old 118 here is a bearcat, inside the frame rail. Very interesting content as always.! No reply needed King. : - )

I guess there's no chance that the blue beads never get mixed up with the blue berries, at least I hope that never happens. Somehow I strongly doubt that blue berries make any sort of a desiccant material. But we sure saw a lot of each.

Mr. Barnes, I know how the tower of power makes power until it gets too the top. Are there 2 horizontal shafts? The band brakes at the output shafts, are they just made tight enough to hold when not spinning or do they relax when you use the levers some how? I’m curious how that all functions but need a closer look and perhaps a more in depth tutorial on how the power is transmitted throughout from hydro motor to outside of the cab. the little brake bands hold the shafts tight and when turned they just slid along since the turning is only for a short time. the system works good and very popular in a lot of equipment. you just have to adjust the little brake bands as they wear out. when the motor goes back in the grader we will hook up the hydraulic pump to come out the rad like on the Famous Black Cat. thansk

the steering is a gear box with hydraulic assist. we plumbed it the way it was and hope it does work if not we make changes thansk
