Installation of aux in cable - persona, gen2 Blaupunkt radio

The best tutorial. Everyone save yourself some money though and just connect the three pins to the three wires on your aux cord. red closest to the 10A fuse, ground in the middle and black at the top. your electronics store has the little pins and an aux cord with a 3.5mm end on it.

+Liew Seng Choy Hi Mr Liew my antenna wire is a lot shorter than yours and i cannot even put it back on. So how should i put it back? Did you pull your antenna to make it longer?

It was quite short indeed. Try refer video on how to mount it back. Be careful not to scratch the lower plastic panel. May use masking tape to temporary protect the lower panel.

As for cable, i felt it is a bit expensive for the blue ISO 8pin hardness. It costs about Rm30 over ebay. Another solution would be getting a Rm10 (or less) male-male stereo cable and DIY it. Cut off the other end and attached a 2.5mm pin. Will show in my next video. It is also available at youtube. Try search for Auxiliary cable as keywords.

Depends on model. Normally MyVi has bluetooth sync.

Thanks for the video. I just installed the cable myself that I bought from lelong for RM50. It is working but the sound volume is much lower than output from CD & radio. Tested with Sony Xperia, Blackberry Z10 and iPhone 5. Blackberry loudest, Sony lowest.

Yes. I have the same problem. Be sure to tune down the volume before switching over to radio or CD. Meanwhile, i was thinking (not not try) to include a little amplifier chip between the wire to help boost the signal. Need some time to test on the chip before cutting any wire. Will definitely show video if successful.

The same technique should work. The pin out cable for Waja might be different. Try refer user manual for Waja to identify the pin out.

Similar way but should be using RCA 3.5mm instead of this ISO 8Pin harness. Try ebay : 6feet Aux Audio 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2 RCA Y CABLE FOR IPOD/MP3(3S1-2R1-06). or from any local stores. Assume there isn't any Aux in inlet at the radio panel. Should at least dismantle the radio unit and have a look at the pin out behind the unit. Another way would be Google picture of your radio. Hope there are someone out there posted any images.

if volume too low, just add portable headphone amp between the cable and phone. good one is only rn100+. cheaper one rm50

Good idea! Apparently the device has a built in loudness feature. It helps increase the volume for aux-in feature.

Its good to have but playing mp3 from cd is easier for song selection from steering wheel control pads.

Does it comes with the blue harness ? If that's the case perhap the pin might have been incorrectly placed. Check if the pin out are connected accordingly. Perhaps have you try connect to other device than the current device? In Aux mode, you need to tune up the volume. Perhaps it could be the volume is too low. Hope it helps.

That require another device. The last time I asked was rather too expensive for the upgrades than simply press on the button instead of having the device attached at the steering wheel.

Before to proceed, check if your radio has AUX function. To do that, look for the Mode function button. Press a few times to check if the radio support AUX function. Otherwise it does not worth installing it.

Maybe try google for pinout of that radio model. Should be either one of those pin. I didnt need to know whih pin for what purpose because i am using those harness. Maybe refer to radio manual provided by car manufacturer.
