My favorite ballerina from Bolshoi for several reasons: Ms. Lunkina is very elegant and beautiful lady, she has exceptional plastic, soft arms, excellent technique, and she created unforgettable dramatic roles such as Gisele, Phrygia, Juliette, Masha, Nikia etc. The ballet is not only jump, turns and pirouettes…..,certainly, it is important but more important to have artist on a stage. Ms. Lunkina is the big master!

I love beautiful, sweet Sveta.. her first Giselle shown here danced with Nikolai Tsiskaridze was and will be my forever favorite, she was as sweet and innocent as Giselle has to be, only 18 the youngest ever. Later they danced many ballets together and were my favorite pair. Now she is as beautiful and amazing in National Ballet of Canada and as sweet and humble as always.

As far as I know she still is, but she had a baby, so she has been gone for a while.

Her departure from Russia was definitely a huge loss for the Bolshoi
