USA prob learned that strategy when playing in Ph server, some Ph teams basically do that to actually increase their winrates in games. It's a double edged strategy, if you prolong it to atleast 10 minutes, you'd lose since that strategy delays the levels and items.

im sure there are lots of strategies to use. Problem is that I wish there was no banned and that all heroes can be selected. We would be able to see more strategies and game plays that can really bring excitement to these pro tournaments. Watching USA using all retribution and all arrivals really brought some excitement back. In those other pro matches, its so boring to watch since the action starts to really pick up at the 10 minute mark. With these 2 matches, the actions picked up right away!!!

oh this strategy was used a lot in Hyper mode where everyone automatically gets arrival spell. You use it to protect turrets and base but I have never seen it used like this before. Very damn good of team usa

That strat has been circling in the PH rank queue before specially in the epic rank and above. Maybe they are practicing in the PH server and got defeated by this strategy but trying it in the competitive scene is so brave. They are lucky that the opposing team doesn't know how to counter it.

If the exp lane is not xborg the game might be different. What make usa win is the GLP draft is late game focus not early game focus. hanabi and xborg so the side Lane in early is partically dead. This Strat won't work when faced with enemy that have the knowledge about draft

I had had a match where four enemies (not marksman though) just kept on destroying my gold lane and they actually won just like that. Meanwhile, the fifth one (a Ling) just tried his best to burst and pick us all one by one. It was absolutely terrible.

Definitely a great strategy by USA. It's great to see other ways to win rather than winning by using lord or killing all of your enemies. Mixing up your strategies to keep your opponents playing the guessing game all the time helps too. They didn't care about the kills but rather destroying all the turrets and bum rush the base at the end. It does have weakness which I think if it goes longer like 10 minutes or so longer, then they can lose. Otherwise, its fun to use their strategy allowing the opponents to get more kills, take the turtle and lose their turrets
